Yoga Therapy

Therapeutic yoga has been demonstrated to reduce symptoms of PTSD, depression, and anxiety, and is an effective tool to address nervous system dysregulation.

The practice of yoga combines intentional body movement with breath work, focused attention, and non-attachment to outcome or form. Within this practice, there are promising possibilities for experiencing wellness of body and mind. Yoga therapy is the use of yogic practices in a clinical therapy setting, with the intention of moving a client into a state of embodied wellbeing

Yoga therapy is not focused on strength, flexibility, or sweat; our goal is to establish a safe, mindful relationship to the body through gentle movement and breathwork. I offer individual or small group instruction.

This treatment can be done on its own, or in conjunction with other counselling work. Please contact me for more details, or to get started on setting up a treatment plan that is right for you.
